The temperature on my back deck hit -4*F on January 7, 2017 (I only know that because I took a couple of pictures of my indoor/outdoor weather station). I remember it getting bitterly cold back in '83 or '84, but I don't recall how cold it was. It was cold enough that when I was in my dad's car, even after it had warmed up it still looked like I was smoking when I exhaled...

I remember that. Was working nights when the -50 wind chills hit. I didn't think it was all that bad at the time but I was young and dumb then.

Man, that reminded me of the times I spent on Grand Lake doing research on a jonboat. During one winter outing, the wind was blowing strongly enough to whip the spray from the bow waves back into the boat. Yes, we were going slowly, but it couldn’t be helped. I arrived back at the dock looking like a glazed donut.

I was reminding my wife of that the other day, Feb 2011 we had record lows in Oklahoma and 5 months later in July it was 112⁰ iirc. That Feb morn it was only -17⁰ here and was the morning that my starter decided to quit lol. Waited for it to warm up to -5⁰ before I changed it out though lol.

A light freezing rain falling in south Tulsa. Ice forming on everything. I hope this doesn’t lead to power outages and broken branches / trees Be safe out there, folks!

I remember that day.
I don't remember what the wind chill factor was though.

& a few days later it was near 40°.

2/10. Duncan glazed over quite a bit. Temp downtown 23 at 0730. Freezing mist. Sanders out but only hitting major intersections and bridges. Light traffic. Seems most are staying home this morning

Sigh...so tired of being home bound...just finished yet another round of quarantine, was able to leave the house for a brief period, and then Mother Nature goes and locks me down again with this ice storm crap! I guess I'll go dump out another box of Bulk Pack .22 and count 'em to make sure I really got 550 rounds in there. I've already checked 4 boxes and found that yep, they all had the required amount. I even double-counted the Fiocchi 40 gr CPRN, (cause foreigner ammo, ya know).

I just came in from outside I was cutting loading blocks on the table saw on the back porch.
I will say it is cold. I will be back out there later sanding them.

I may need to make a shop in the backyard. Nah a little cold is good for ya.
