Tennis has suffered a similar fate IMO.I’m glad for the enthusiasm, but really like that golf is a “gentleman’s” game; something lost in other professional sports.

On the rare occasions that I would watch sports on TV, I always turned the volume way down because of the yelling, blathering commentators.Turn the volume off?
I think next year’s PGA Championship will be at Southern Hills in Tulsa.
Yep. I used to play when younger and always liked to watch the major tournaments, Wimbledon, etc. The arguing and grunting has ruined it. I can't figure out why the gallery is required to be quiet and respectful while the players a screaming with every stroke and belittling the umps. McEnroe started the degradation and it hadn't quit picking up momentum much less stopped last I watched, which was a while ago.Tennis has suffered a similar fate IMO.
