So the perp walked in through an unlocked door!!!!! That can’t be SOP for any school district. Also, truck crashes, 911 calls go out of an armed man getting out of the truck near the school. Perp enters the school 5-10 min later…why is the school not locked down? Locked doors might have slowed him down enough to allow LEO to engage him outside of the building.

Sounds like opportunities were missed by both the school and local pd.

If this was the chronology, there sure seems to be some obvious things that could have made this thing less horrific. Every superintendent in every school district in the country should be thinking about this. And then doing something about it. And then continue to be vigilant EVERY day.

It’s a violation of federal law to carry a firearm on to school property. I wonder what the chances are that parents would be prosecuted for violating federal law, if they acted before the police or without permission.
