I think there is some potential to this idea also. However, there really hasn't been much "copy cat" events. Yes, there has been many at schools, but also theaters, outdoor concerts, walmarts, grocery stores, parades, etc.

There will not be a single answer to make this stop.

Not necessarily. Local school systems have officers, but Moore RSOs, rotate through the schools, if an officer is needed, they have to be called from one school to the school that needs them. Funding is the problem there. Most districts have the same issues. I have sent emails, and in a couple of instances, spoken face to face with different elected representatives suggesting that additional funding, limited to school officers only, be made available. Many others have done the same, and there seems to be some support for the ideas.

Voicing our displeasure on an Internet forum doesn’t do much, but going to the lawmakers could.

Maybe the school officials should be asked if they applied for/received safety grants for officers through the "Secure Our Schools" fed. grant program($1bil.?) or an accounting of how any funds received were spent(like in Broward Co.). The fact remains that removing officers was a widespread movement(like in Denver) after the George Floyd incident because of ideological(racial) issues(oppression/trauma/criminalization of students)
There are plenty of articles detailing the removals and why they were argued for...

I won't say funding is never an issue but the real question is what has removed more school officers, funding or the widespread denial of what some kids and segments of our society are like and believe.

My definition/understanding may be wrong but it seems like some of them want to be taken alive.
IMO those aren't martyrs.
But maybe leering at everyone in court, smiling at the TV cameras and being a drag on the taxpayers for decades gives them feelings of continued power?

Most private Christian schools won't apply for or accept any kind of federal grants or handouts even if they're not monetary. They fear that strings will be attached if not presently but even in the future.

Perhaps famous would of been a better word for me to use....I'm just a simple man trying to make a little sense out of this mess where there doesn't seem to be any. Don't pick my words apart too much. Just try to follow my drift.

What you’re suggesting is unconstitutional. In order to make it both constitutional and hold those operating the system responsible, you’d wind up with something that would be flatly rejected by both the left and the psychiatric profession.

What really pisses me off is that everyone in the Psych/Counseling field has a legal duty to report, just like teachers and school staff. They just dont effing do it(some do), and for the most part nothing is done about it when it is found out that they failed to do so.
