i always found Dave Ramsey to offer overly simplistic advice, though i understand the gist of what he's saying and i can understand how it can help some folks.

never trust a rich preacher, haha.

The advice needs to be simplistic or most people won’t understand it. His advice isn’t aimed at the sophisticated investor.

Sounds like a handfull of people are butt hurt they didn't get what the expected or were even defrauded but Time Share Exit Team. Dave Ramsey was a spokesman for them but since TSET went out of business they need to find someone as a scape goat. Bunch of sad azz ambulance chasers and dumb cucks who bought time shares want to not take personal responsibility for their poor decision making with buying into a time share.

So, if this goes to court and DR looses then does this mean that anyone who was harmed by any of the vaccines can now sue any celebrity, politician, late night TV show host or cable news talking head that were all compensated in some way for the damage the vaccine caused to themselves or a loved one? It's pretty much no difference as far as I can see. Jsut depends on what side of the political isle you are on.
There are something like 6000 lawyers in OKC, I'm sure half of them are looking for something, anything, to do. Everyone is a target.

All Ramsey had to do to avoid losing this kind of suit was to say he was being paid by the company he was recommending and promoting.

YouTube requires “Paid Promotion” to be shown somewhere in the frame of videos shown on that site. When I see that, I usually quit watching the channel.

Most desperate people are gullible and will react based on emotion and not logic. Once some logic sets in these folks have buyers remorse. These time share companies know that and have written language in the time share contract to keep people from backing out. And DR was promoting a product to desperate people. Whether he told them he was getting paid for that promotion probably wouldn’t have made a difference to those desperate folks.

A lot (not all) of DR followers are desperate and I bet if there is a way for them to get some money, they will jump on the bandwagon to sue anyone they can to recover money they shouldn’t have spent. Spending that money was due to their own lack of due diligence, but who cares about accountability anymore?!?
You’re gonna get some hate

Pretty amazing the number of people who trash Ramsey here on the forum. It‘s almost as if some still have student loans and other debt they haven’t gotten rid of. His advice is very common sense and a lot of people don’t need it or want it. Regardless of what he has or hasn‘t done with this timeshare exit advertising, a lot of people have gotten themselves out of debt using the method he teaches. Hundreds of YouTube videos, the 7th most popular podcast in America, and several best selling books. He must be doing something right. The obvious glee some people have with him being sued says a lot about the character of some of people here. I don’t know the facts of the case and I’m sure it’s not just some money hungry people going after a guy who built a business from nothing to over $200 million in personal net worth. Some of you guys need to show your therapist where Dave Ramsey touched you. 😂

Let's stop simping so hard for a moment and realize none of us are in a lawsuit against your savior, just reporting it. I also think you casting dispersions or hinting at other's financial situations is quite the glass house to live in.

(I'm sure I have a PM incoming lol)

I watched about

3/4 of the video. Why?

So the video discusses disclosure in regards to those on media sources, which is a common issue among those giving opinions and advice in the financial world. Didn't see how that was ambulance chasing.

25 years ago, the greater Houston area reported there was 1 lawyer for every 650 people. A population over 5M, means a lot of lawyers.

Ramsey loses regardless. Defending himself and his company will cost $$$$$. Most likely, a settlement will be forthcoming. The lawyer(s) will get the lion's share.
