Having worked in retail, automobile rentals, and at the OSBI, I can attest that there are a LOT of strange names out there. I used to see some name and have to wonder if the person's parents were part of the hippie movement.

I would approve of our country adopting the model from Icelandic Law that requires all first names must be chosen from the government approved gender specific lists appropriate to the child’s sex at birth. I would outlaw the outrageous and contemptuous practices in which citizens in our country corrupt traditional names, synthesize names or chose names that are contemporary to cultures that exist outside of our borders.
Furthermore, I would allow a (2) year moratorium to enable those with corrupt or unsatisfactory names to change them to names traditional to Western Judeo-Christian Culture*; however, failure to comply would result in suspension of all civil rights, property, wealth, voting privileges and government benefits. Further, these scofflaws would be officially declared unemployable and citizens in good standing would be prohibited from rendering them food, shelter, clothing or assistance. Violation of the sanctions placed on offenders would immediately and irrevocably condemn them to the same fate as those they tried to assist.
Failure to comply within the allotted time of (2) years would irrevocably incur the penalties and should the consequences previously listed, and access to legal relief in the courts would be forever prohibited.....
* The only exception the Traditional Judeo-Christian Name Mandate (as I hope it will come to be called) would be granted to members of recognized Native American Tribes so long as sufficient convincing evidence can be provided to demonstrate that the names chosen among those who qualify for the exemption are both traditional and gender specific for the sex determined at birth.
I do not want to sound harsh or intolerant, but the imperative that our traditions must be preserved is paramount.....
