I'm seeing them all over Edmond. I stopped my pickup on Western between Sorghum Mill and Coffee Creek yesterday and watched a little herd cross the road. They looked fat and happy.
Yeah, I hit one on the highway at 70mph on Sunday morning on the way home from work. Sucks.
closest I ever came to hitting one was yesterday morning. Was on Pine east of Catoosa doing about 50, nice buck jumped in the road off to my left just about the same time I arrived. Clipped his antlers with my mirror or maybe his nose, he slid, fell down then got up and ran off. If I had been a few thousands of a second late or he would have been a few early it would have been really bad for both of us.
Amazing what two cool wet summers will produce.
Saw 2 fawn at different locations yesterday morning. Both still had spots.
