For instance, if you want aftermarket Novak style sights, I personally would recommend a Springfield Milspec over a GI. Why? Because you're going to spend a good deal of money getting the slide milled for sights.

You might be surprised at how little olyeller charges for this.

BTW, BurkLee did you replace the backstrap on your RI? I'm pretty sure mine don't have a lanyard ring.

You can pick up a MSH with the ring for about $30... really easy.

Yup... not speaking for him, but I think it's usually only about $100 to mill the slide.
