A country boy can survive

It started with me in --
I am a Marine. My brother, father, uncles, were all Marines...
But they did not want to go out into nature - hunt/fire/etc.

Wife and I bought some land - WHY ??
I want to be out there---
I also coach/teach @ HS level and know that there are tons of kids that do not know about or understand or have spent any time in the woods.

I have 2 DAUGHTERS !!!!!!! NO BOYS....

But I take them out to the land all the time ..
The 4 yr old LOVES it..
The 18 month old - just farts around.. (too young)

That amount of know how can't end with you dennishoddy! Here is the deal, adopt my boy, but I have to tag along to make sure everything is on the up and up.

I could almost take you up on that. Would I get child support? Just kidding Being around young'uns and seeing the excitment of learning the outdoor ways really does me good. So many of them go the other way.
I have several cousins that are bringing up kids, both girls and boys. So far the girls have shown more interest in shooting, not hunting. We are working with them on the clay birds.

Weird? Not much point in wasting water in the toilet by flushing. Remember the slogan by the government? (I think it was Britain when a drought was going and water was in short supply)

They have a language all their own now with the texting. I watched a program on it the other day, about how to recognize things on your kids text that a parent needs to be concerned about. My kids are all gone from home now, but I forwarded it to them FYI. They always told me how dumb I was about things, and they are getting the same from their kids now.
