A "Base" XL supercab 4x4 3.5L EcoBoost with "max towing package" is over $41k list.

King Ranch, Platinums, Limiteds and loaded Lariat F-150s are ~$60K sticker all day long. Talked to a dealer last week..... the new Navigators?... ~$90K. There is just NO way.

So I just checked, average household income was $59,000 for 2017.
http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/12/news/economy/median-income-census/index.html

So that means a near-base F150 is 2/3rds of the annual income of the average household. For a fast depreciating asset. That's insane to me.
A well rigged out bass boat will run in the $70,000 class. I'm pretty sure one can rig out a F-250 or 350 into the 70K range as well.
Had to work hard to get my Tundra under 50K.

70K? Try 100K.

Guys, a Prius is 30K new loaded. A Prius lol.

Back to the thread subject though, drove a used Prius V today, and all I can say is man, you'd better not pull out in front of anybody. I felt like I needed to get out and push. Oh well, that's the trade off.

Oh yeah. The sky is the limit on fancy rigs of any kind. My fish locator is well over a grand, and it's one of the mid priced models.
All of my vehicles are the big engine models that pass quick, etc, but get in the Nissan Sentra that gets an easy 35mpg bought as a commuter, you better have a good distance to pass at highway speeds. That 4 banger is great at speeds up to 55 or so, but exceed that, and it struggles to pass.

I never thought I'd see the day you could buy a house for the same money as a car or truck. At least a "normal" one, not a Ferrari, Porsche, etc.
How come to buy the house they want 400 pages of tax returns, wage statements,God knows what else and takes 30-60 days.
But to buy the same priced car its like "Let's see your DL, sign here. Thank You very much! Have a nice day."
To top it off, the vehicle loses 25% of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot.

Well... ya can't homestead a vehicle, and they can repo it with a tow-truck.

Not so simple with a home. :D
