Anybody in here ever had bought or traded for a stolen firearm unknowingly?

Curious to see what folks on here have to go through when the bad folks start doing bad things. What happened when you learn that the gun was stolen and or was used in a crime scene. Would you ever buy or trade with another person again after that experience? Or what other steps to take to prevent another scenario like that from happening to you?

If I traded for a stolen firearm unknowingly, then I guess I don't know about it.

We had a guy within the last week or so start a thread on this subject where he had gotten bit by one.
