CHOUTEAU — The Chouteau-Mazie School District is on lockdown Thursday afternoon while authorities search for two suspects, said Superintendent Kenny Mason.
Mason said the school received notice “two suspects were on the loose,” so as a precaution the school was put on lockdown. The area where authorities believe the suspects are located is about six miles from the school’s campus, he said.

A Mayes County Sheriff’s dispatcher said the two being sought were robbery suspects.
i agree with the decision to place more security maby even lock doors that arent locked. But I dont agree with the decision because "lockdown" at a school prevents children from leaving the rooms and more importantly it scares them.
