I don’t think this is correct. Reason I say this is I am a FFL holder and had an inspection of my records today by an ATF agent out of OKC and I asked him if a customer has a concealed carry license do they still have to go through a back ground check.

He said yes, everyone who buys a gun, not including C&R’s or black powders, still has to go through a back ground check in Oklahoma. He did say there’s talk about that but nothings in the works as of yet.

He did say in Texas that if they have a CCL they don’t have to.

Just my .02 worth but just passing on what I was told.

And........how did the inspection go? Pass with flying colors I hope?

I had mine about a month ago.
This was the first time that they sprang the "surprise!!!" unannounced visit on me.
Usually, they have called and said "hey, we're gonna be there on such and such a date."

I was already battling a massive headache and multiple patient emergencies when my front receptionist said "Um, there is a man here that says he is from the ATF."

All went well. And as you said, nice guy to boot!
