I have never been delayed or denied but I didn’t know we did delays here… My son is turning 21 Sunday and buying his first pistol so we shall see how that goes.
Last year, some one on here told us that the delays are a result of the increased buying, coupled with insufficient number of employees. That makes much more sense than the assumptions that they are working some devious scheme to track you down and ship you off to the nearest “black site”.

Someone asked about the number of days till you can pick it up if you get delayed, it’s 3 business days according to ATF regs, but that depends on the company/person you go through.

It will be nice once the OK CCW satisfies as a BGC finally goes into effect. I have not heard any updates as to how that is progressing.

I haven't made a retail purchase since spring of '14, up until then I've never been delayed. I'm betting most of the delays are due to volume of applicants vs capacity of the system.
