Watching old 60's music on OETA tonight with their plea for donations every 10 minutes, just wondering if anyone pledges money to them. Their goal is $1M and they were over $900K last count. I'd have to say I don't and never have pledged money to them. They have some good programming but their news shows tend to slant a bit to the left.

Yes. OETA is worth it just for Nova and Frontline.
Nova is pretty cool, but I guess I'm a freeloader.

You're right. It does not have the intellectual appeal of NASCAR, SpikeTV and American Idol.
I used to donate every year until they stopped running Austin City Limits. I sent them multiple letters on the subject.
I don't listen to their news or left leaning programs, but it's worth it just for the Oklahoma nature programming, NOVA and some other various real world programming like the woodworking shows, etc...
I might do it again someday... I'd prefer to hold out until they carry ACL consistantly but there is plenty of other good programming that I would feel good about too.

Yep, too bad about ACL, but OETA produces the Lawrence Welk reruns. Lets see, ACL or Lawrence Welk? Tough decision right there.
