Are the Dems just frustrated over gridlock? Or fearful that power is slipping away from them?
The power to create gridlock and to vote out representatives advocating harmful policies is a good thing.

Term limits. 2 terms House. 2 terms Senate. 2 terms President. If you can run the gauntlet, then you can spend, what is that, 28 years at the National level?
Our problem is not just too many politicians, it's too many career politicians.
They say it takes years to get settled in to the national-level politics to be able to get anything done... but if everyone had to start fresh, the system wouldn't be so entrenched.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. That and severe limitations on what lobbyists can do in order to meet with a congressman/woman should fix several things.
Hold on!!! Is it just me or does this sound MORE than a little fishy???? Suspend electioms...WTH??
I may be totally remiss on this topic,but isn't that one of the many reasons we have elections...to (hopefully) elect people to do the WILL or the good of the people?? Hell, I don't want any, and I mean any government agency to think they can over-ride the Laws and Rules established.
If we as a Republic cannot get the correct people in office..through an election...then we need to start reading Communist or Socialist laws and rules.
Sad thing is when will we get strong leaders who put America first??

*** Yes, I am one of those whack-o, nutjob, conspiracy, fruitcakes thanks to the U.S. Government. It happened sometime between the Waco incident and the government allowing the Supreme Court to let private proerty be confiscated from the owner, if the new owner can show an increase in revenue from newly confiscated property. Meaning, if I can show that I can generate more revenue(taxes) I can confiscate your property.

What's funny is that anyone still believes we have a representative government at this point. She's just saying that elections are no longer important, because they accomplish very little in the grand scheme.

This is part of what kicks me in the n#ts!! We have leaders talking about suspending elections..suspending elections??? Yet, my nephew was in Iraq a few years ago training Iraqi police to enforce, guard, and maintain a peaceful....what....an ELECTION for the Iraqi people.
I swear Costa Rica, Trinidad or Belize look better and better all the time.
