We left OU Med, weather alert said rain in Yukon.

Took off down Western.

Stopped at Crest on 104th.
Came out, looking dark.
Weather alert for Mustang and Yukon, moving slowly East.

Hit 44, headed south.
Weather alert for north of Chickasha.

Very few sprinkles, some lightning, just before Chickasha.

Turned south, nothing else.

Glad to see some badly needing rain, getting some.

I wadded out to check. 1.7 so far and radar shows us in at least the green for a couple more hours.

Since the floods first week of June, I’ve had 4/10’s of measurable rainfall before today. Rained all around us. Would get to us and fall apart or split and go around, but no rain.

This is a God send. No doubt about it.

That little orange, southern most spot, floated over us about 5:05. It was a fire hose deluge for about 20 minutes. Dumped 1/2" and quit. Slight drizzle for about an hour.

Quick heavy rain like this isn't ideal right? Since the ground is already so hard and dry, most of the water is going to drain away?

Well about 45 min ago it clouded up and had lightning and thunder north of me but so far nothing still may get a light shower later tonight
