Still would stay away from it if you can. Wolf steel case ammo is awful dirty, and I know that RRA recommends against the use of steel cased ammo, especially until the AR has been properly broken in because it can be hard on the extractor.

As far as the lacquer goes... I haven't done a lot of research on it... I'd just hate to test it too much. :)


Yea, I can't stand that stuff, one reason it gets your gun so dirty is that being a steel case, when the round fires it doesn't expand as well and seal off the chamber like a softer brass case round would do letting some of that crud blow back into the gun rather than down the barrel.

Gettin' the hang of the AR finally! Black Hills 40gr V-max Moly @ 100yds.
Now if I can just get her zeroed in at 200yds I'll be good to go!
