I always put in a jalapeno or serrano when I jar pickles. Did a couple jars with a habanero for a friend of mine and they had a little after kick but not too bad. Here's a jar with a red serrano and a cayenne.
Slice one up and add it to a jar of pickle spears. A few days later you have delicious spicy pickles.
We have also canned peach habanero jelly and it was incredible. All the sugar really tames the heat. I highly recommend something like this if your family isn’t that into hot stuff.
Daaaagone! That tequila would make a great Mexican Sweat after that. This might give you some more ideas. I'm going to have to try this as my eating really hot pepper days are pretty much in the past. Still like them, just not the later effects.

Too much work and a waste of tequila. Just use 7UP or simple sugar syrup. This might give you some more ideas. I'm going to have to try this as my eating really hot pepper days are pretty much in the past. Still like them, just not the later effects.
