I use the "radar now" app. It goes to the radar first (thus the name) then you can click to get up to the minute weather in your area and click again for extended forecast. I like looking at the radar first instead of having to click 2,3,4 times to get to it. You can find it in the play store.
The link I posted is to the animated radar.

As far as "apps" go... the cell phone is simply a conduit to the internet for my computer. :D

Thanks, I just loaded it up to try.
I prefer "Weather Underground for the forecast. Seems to be more accurate than David Payne lol.

I was just showing you which one I like to use and why. My phone is my computer so I put this app on mine. With my limited web skills I was kinda proud I found it.

Just a question I was pondering as I read this thread. I don’t know how many times my heater would have cycled in the hour and 45 minutes the power was off, but, it ran constantly for 3 hours when it came back on. So, how much was really saved?
Exactly what I was thinking

Exactly. I've always found it easier to KEEP the house warm/cool versus starting from scratch.

I looked up and down the block right after the blackout ended I was shoveling snow and heard the Generac switch off, so I knew power was back. Every single house was running their gas heat (stands to reason). So yea, I'm not sure much if any actual conservation occurs.
