Black panthers is the discussion, not to be interchanged with mountian lion.
They are likely the same thing, only different color, so they are part of this discussion! The only other option is Jaguars from Central, South America or Mexico, which are usually black in color. There are many reports of seeing them in South Texas, New Mexaco, and Arizona! I'm old enough to remember when no one I knew had ever seen an armadillo's in this part of the country, now they are everywhere! If they can migrate that far, so can Jaguars, don't you think?

A dark colored lion, in the shadows or at night with sparse lighting, may appear black.

I seriously doubt a Central American JUNGLE cat, black panther has visited Oklahoma.

But, Sasquatch has, so maybe........
