Lost my favorite knife

I lost a uncle henry fixed blade in the sheath when it fell out of my pack while elk hunting in colorado. 5 years later hunting the same area and stepping across a stream there it was laying under water . it was rusted and pitted . I took it home ,put it on the buffing wheel and got the rust off . still pitted but I used it many times since

That pitting is just character and memories.

I can’t say I’ve ever lost a knife. For the last 30+/- years, I’ve carried an upper end knife of some flavor with a pocket clip and am meticulous to always put it back in my pocket when I’m done.

I lost a Camillus #886 and a Buck 110. Either packed away somewhere or lost in a move.

I've had them come out of my pocket when the clip would catch on something so I don't use clips any more. I also like a knife with an orange or bright blue handle. Been carrying an orange Civivi Elementum for awhile.

I’ve only lost one knife in the last 5 years, I lost a Kershaw pocket knife this past spring when I was getting on an off my tractor. Looked for it but couldn’t find it anywhere

I lost a Buck folder that had a seatbelt cutter and a glass breaker on it, I only carried it when I was out on patrol.

yep...lost my favorite not long ago. I determined my problem is that I always carried it in my pocket where there is usually a large 'ball of keys' Dragging out the keys would sometimes pull the knife with it and it would fall without me knowing. My solution was to designate my right front pocket for knives and guns only.

Is it just me or do you guys also lose knives? I bought a Begg this summer and I used it today and can't remember where I put it.

Gosh that is frustrating. I hope it is just me and you guys are smart enough to not make these mistakes.
