M16A1 replica ?

That's actually not a bad deal considering what I ended up with in parts to build one from a Nodak Spud receiver set.

How's the quality on Fulton Armory

I saw a ad in a gun rag that Colt has come out with a semi auto copy of the A1.
A little pricey though.

I don't currently own a 'black gun', AK or SKS but I've come to the conclusion that I might like to own a Vietnam era style M16A1.

I see the genuine Colt M16's are pretty expensive so what I'd probably want is a semi auto replica / clone with the 'exact looks' of the VN era Colt......A1 stock, carry handle, same 20" barrel length, triangular handguard, in .223 etc.

I'd want a brand name that is available in the OKC metro area, runs like it's supposed to and is known to be pretty much trouble free out of the box and doesn't cost a arm and a leg.

Any suggestions ?

I've always wanted to build a clone of the early USAF contract M-16s, like the 601, 602, or 604.

I actually just finished mine. Almost all Aero parts except I got the 20" PSA complete upper during memorial day. I really want that fixed A2 upper but they are hard as hell to find...I would certainly like to add a USAF version but I need to find the differences to make it right.

The Reissue would be awesome but that price tag is worse than I paid for my AUG with optics!

That looks pretty much like what I'm looking for and at $1370.00 the price doesn't seem all that bad for a 'ready made'......I wonder if they are available locally ?

How's the quality on Fulton Armory ?

Do you think I could have someone build me one locally, using as good or better parts as the Fulton, for right at the same price ?

Fulton's quality is top notch, but You can build one for half the price of a Fulton that is just as well made
