It appears that it (Android) does detect and show a little different version of the full site when browsing on the phone. It is more than sufficient if you have a large enough screen. I didn't even bother messing with Forum Runner

Installed it on my rooted Samsung Moment with a Modified Android v2.1 and it works great.
