If the population continues to "allow" the government to rule OUR goose is cooked. At this point a convention of the states sure does look appealing.

The left is in charge now because they control the large population centers with the most electoral votes. They control the large population centers because, in general, those are where the people are who are dependent upon the government. Simplified, but that's the basics.
