I've never had much interest in going. I actually like the German hick music, but have no interest in beer. What else is there?

Besides the obligatory Oktoberfest girls...

Wiener dog races
Arts and Crafts
Kids Tent
Carnival
Authentic Food
Great Polka music by Germans
Bier barrel races
Sports Tent
Beer
and did I mention Beer?

Wow, Granted That Blond On The End Is Barely Legal, She Is Hot...

I Carry At Almost All Places Other Than A Select Few, I Would Rather Be Able To Defend Myself Than My Wife To Have To Worry About Making Funeral Arraingements.

When they assign me my own personal police officer to walk around with me and escort me to and from my vehicle I may reconsider returning.

As of this morning, I have been assigned to walk around with you and escort you to and from your vehicle during Oktoberfest.

The fee is a mere $200/hour. We can accept credit cards.:)

This rate also includes any entertaining police stories you'd like to hear during your intoxication.

Probably some of that was from it being held where ~river parks~ has control... they always have signs up saying ~no guns~.
I contacted river parks back in 2007 about their signs... their reply was:
"There are city ordinances that prohibit weapons in public parks including areas under jurisdiction of the River Parks Authority. However, the provisions noted in 21 OS 1277 also apply and the State of Oklahoma statues supersede local ordinances. So from my understanding, if you have a concealed weapons permit and abide by the state statues, you are permitted to carry a licensed handgun."
The representative continued by adding:
"For further questions, I suggest you consult with your attorney as to what your legal rights are on this issue."
