Orange tabby cat, long ringed tail and body shape gives it away.
I've seen a photo of a jaguarundi on another site, that may be what this one is. Not as large as a mountain lion, not as small as most housecats. Slenderer than something like a Maine Coon, too. Or it could be a coyote with it's head turned away somewhat. Looks sort of strippy or spotty...
Check the foot prints if possible. Might give you a clue. If it's not way too late.
No way it is a house cat. Knowing how far the camera is from it and the size of things around it, it would have to be a 30-40 pound house cat, at least.

I’m fairly sure it’s a cat, but I really don’t think that’s a mountain lion. I’ve seen a couple mountain lions while hunting in south TX years ago, and they’re unmistakable. My best guess from this one picture is it’s a bobcat.
When I first saw the picture in the OP, my first thought was to hope that my stepdaughter's kitty Penelope had escaped.
