I know this isn’t the most clear picture, but this sure looks like a cat with a long tail. Some might say it’s the cat’s other leg, but it would be odd for both legs to be back like that because it doesn’t appear to be running. Sure looks like a juvenile mountain lion to me.

Thoughts?

This pic is from my cell cam but I’ve got two trail cases on that trail he is coming from, so hoping one of them caught him as well.

I've seen a photo of a jaguarundi on another site, that may be what this one is. Not as large as a mountain lion, not as small as most housecats. Slenderer than something like a Maine Coon, too. Or it could be a coyote with it's head turned away somewhat. Looks sort of strippy or spotty...

Check the foot prints if possible. Might give you a clue. If it's not way too late.

I’m fairly sure it’s a cat, but I really don’t think that’s a mountain lion. I’ve seen a couple mountain lions while hunting in south TX years ago, and they’re unmistakable. My best guess from this one picture is it’s a bobcat.
