If I remember correctly, the fair is one of the events that was brought up under the law that was vetoed earlier this year. The one about if a business pays to control a certain property, then they may enforce their rules regarding firearms or weapons on the property.
If I am wrong, please someone correct this statement.

Even if that were the case (it's not), then the usual "gun busters have no force of law" would still be in play.

I agree and I plan on carrying when I take my family. My point was I think that the fair is using that gray area to support their stance on not allowing firearms. Either way, I don't care. As long as they are not wanding or have detectors at the gate, my trusty firearm will be safely snuggled in it's holster the entire time I am there.
