Oklahoma State Fair '23

Went out to the State Fair yesterday to take advantage of the Senior Day free admission. I haven't been to the fair in years because I was the Supt. of some of the goat shows for several years way back when and pretty much had my fill of the Fair scene. It wsa nice to see many of the animal facilities have had a nice upgrade. Everything else seemed to be much the same except the prices. Was thinking about one of those $5 Turkey legs until seeing the price of $18 for one. Nope !!

Yep. That’s the most fun. Yesterday being Senior Day there were lots of former hippies and a few freaks.

I figured it was outrageous

I was there 2 hours and spent $130

$10 to park, $45 to get in the gate. My self, my wife and daughter. $30 for two rides. $6 ear of corn, $8 for a soda, $12 for mozzarella sticks, $16 dollars for an Indian taco with no meat, and $4 for a drink refill.

I’m kinda cheap so it was a painful 2 hours.

It was ‘thrifty Thursday’ only $8 to get in. That paid for a pancho dog for us. Had 1 beer each and we shared a funnel cake. Wasn’t to bad.
