Be there for around a week. My dad actually taught at the Academy for a short while almost 30 years ago, so I am familiar with the Academy and have been fly fishing, seen the Gorge etc, not sure what all has changed. I forgot about the zoo. Plan on Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak and Royal Gorge, and a Rockies game.
If you visit Pike's Peak, buy a sealed bag of chips before you go.

Go see Bishop castle. A guy who may not be quite right in the head built it one rock at a time by himself..

I have a fluid filled compass that leaked while we were on the peak. :/
They have great atv/utv and dirt bike trails.
