Guys, I am so ready for this; I've have been planning this trip for quite some time and it's almost here. I purposely added a few days to each end of the actual sailing part just to meander around the Portland and the Rockland/Camden waterfronts; looking for lobster shacks and my next couple of favorites that are best found in Maine: Fried Haddock and Fried Clam Strips. The skimpy little clam strips you can find here in the freezer section of your local supermarket suck as compared to the BIG, fresh clam strips you get at a harbor side clap-board picnic tabled shack up in Maine. Gimme a big azz lobster, a basket of fried clam strips, a slab of fried haddock, a couple cobs of corn, and a couple-6 ice cold beers and stand back. Just don't get yer fingers near me while I tear it up!
