Roman Nose State Park (at least until someone is offended with the name) has putt putt golf, paddle boats, horse riding and a new Gem Stone Mining opportunity.

We've been to Roman Nose several times over the years, but was not aware of the gem stone mining. Is that new?

I've been there multiple years --- however, in a tent, not an RV. I just can't do the tent anymore no matter how much I still want to.

Our tent camping days are over as well. We did that for 30 years plus and had it down to an art. Cooking over open fires, comfortable beds, and so on.
RV is the only way to go now.

Just came off 9 days fishing 5am-9pm with small nap breaks midday. I've got to go back to work just to rest up. Hope Maine treats you well. Earn yourself some awesome exhaustion.

At my age, my idea of "roughing-it" is a Holiday Inn with a black & white TV.
