I have dads old Yaesu FT101E that sat in a box for 20 years. The contacts are dirty and I can’t set or time it. It needs to be cleaned up inside. Does anyone know someone local that I could take it to?

I would call the manufacturer.

Contact us: (714) 827-7600 (8AM – 5PM PST Monday - Friday)
Technical Support option 8
Shipping would be expensive. This thing weighs around 30 pounds. It would be nice to find someone local. Maybe JB’s?

I have 3 tips. 1- Don't try to transmit without an antenna. 2-You might call Universal Radio, see if they know someone in your area. 3- Clean up your garage floor.
We had an antenna hooked up. Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I’ve been working on it but the roll up doors are open half the time. Can’t keep the grass and leaves out😉
