Congratulations to you my friend,,,
I retired from Oklahoma State University 28 months ago.

After a year I took a part-time job at my liquor store,,,
Two nights a week to cover the payment on the new car I had to buy.

Dang deer took out my paid-for Nissan,,,
The side gig is just enough to make the payment.

in any event I do hope you keep busy with something,,,
I know way too many people who retired and just grew moss on their feet.

When i retired at 62 I swore I was gonna join the old farts shooting group that met every wed. At the gun club. Well by the time I retired they all died or went in a nursing home. I've been out about 10 or 12 times in 3 years. So much for that once a week deal.

Under your bed
Today is my first day of retirement.

Now I just need a little side gig to have some gun money. :D
Congrats, I have been retired now for 5 months and I learned that its a real adjustment. All our lives, since 1st grade, we have lived a routine by the alarm clock. and suddenly not so much at all.
I can go to bed whenever I want and get up when I want.
Its a bit weird but not once have I thought to myself, "I wish I was going to the office tomorrow".
