Olathe Colorado has their sweet corn festival every year.Since we've hijacked already, the best corn was Sakata(Olathe is from KS I believe).
Olathe is north of Montrose.
10 for $1.00 at City Market in Gunnison a few years ago.

Drove through there two weeks ago. Not a veggi one at the two big stands on either side of town.We make our selves sick when we go by Rocky Ford, in season!
Palisade peach tents up everywhere now. In about a month, the grocery store will be setting their Hatch chili cookers outside. We buy a case every year, have them blistered. We put 4 in a quart ziplock with a little water and freeze.I was just in Alamosa, CO and they aren't ready yet! Very upset. Late July. However, I did pick up some Palisade peaches that have to be the best......ever......anywhere.
I have been freezing Jalapeno and other peppers and cilantro but never added water. We put 4 in a quart ziplock with a little water and freeze.
Lasts us about a year.
I stand corrected(although there is an Olathe, KS too). I'd be surprised if anything at City Market is 10/$10 these days! I got my dry ice there and walked around looking for cantaloupes, peaches, corn and nothing inside. King Sooper's was my go to grocery store in Colorado Springs and frequently had that 10/$10 special but that was 6-7 years ago.Olathe Colorado has their sweet corn festival every year.

Perv.I just wanna know if swampratt got a big ol' kiss for the cantaloupe and the cake he baked.
Perv.
It's her birthday not mine I get nothing but some dirty dishes to clean.
I did take her to the lake Monday with the pontoon boat, she had a good time.
Got to swim and caught some fish.
She drove the boat up onto the trailer for the first time.
That may not seem like much but every little thing helps.
She was getting really good at sneaking up on juglines driving the boat.
Didn't toss me off the front so that's a win.
Take wheel barrow full of moneyNot the store, thats for sure. Rush springs? I want to go down there soon and pick up some water melons.
What's a watermelon in Rush Springs cost these days? Grew up eating Black Diamond but was told now there are many other varieties that are better. Keep thinking about going to the annual festival but though of competing with 50,000 people doesn't sound fun.Take wheel barrow full of money
