If the yeti's are that much better and I was in an industry where my business involved keeping things cold longer I may be able to justify the huge costs. Me, I just can see spending that coin on an ice chest.
And ice chest death match article was a little disingenuous. I'm not engineer but would think that if you fill two coolers with the same amount of ice, one with a much smaller cubic foot interior compared to a much large cubic foot interior, the larger interior ice chest would have a harder time keeping the inside cold with cubed ice. Sort of like asking a window a/c trying to keep a 1000 square foot room as cool as a 100square foot room. Not really apples to apples. If you dump a one pound bag of ice in a salad bowl it will last longer than if you dumped the one pound bag of ice on the counter top next to the salad bowl.
