I'm just curious If you guys think we are gonna have a huge spike in gun prices as we creep closer to November this year like the last election? People being afraid Obama might make good on his anti gun stance if he drives home the second term...

What do ya think? Might be what they call a seller's market for some folk.

If so, when do you think we will start seeing the spike?

I don't think it will be before the election. However, if obummer does win, there will probably be a massive spike in prices right after the results are in. As well as a shortage in ammo and guns.

As soon as it becomes apparent that the eventual stooge the GOP nominates is going to have a tough time beating Obama, the prices will spike and the supply will dry up. :(

I could definitely see a decent spike before the election, and then an extra ridiculous spike if he wins between November and January.

I remember sitting at a table at the Wanenmacher show in the spring and again in the fall of 2008, before and after the election. This table was near one of the major ammo vendors both times; the first time, sales at this vendor weren't anything out of the ordinary that I could see. The second time - which was the weekend after the election results were announced - people were stacked three and four deep at the ammo vendor's tables, and the vendor sold out of practically everything within hours of the show's opening. Prices were up for ammo too; the stickers on the AR lowers that I saw were... well, let's just say they were quite the eye-opener.

Could it happen again? Yes, definitely.
