Good question! Why aren't you making a killing too? Is there some law that says you can't? Are those "making a killing" keeping you from getting yours? You sound just like Bernie...

I don't know about TK but I don't begrudge the guys that have made a hellacious living in the oilfield. However now that the run is over many of those guys are whiny little bitches about it and want to shame anyone positively effected by cheaper gas.

Example:

"Care about everyone, not just yourself" could have been turned right around back at the oilfield for the past 15 years. This is the attitude that rubs many the wrong way. I don't want to see many of my friends and family suffer but sack up and do what you gotta do to get by. Just don't be pissed at people who are happy about cheap gas especially when they have zero control over the market. Sacking up is what the rest of us have had to do for 15 years.

Dude, you figured out how to run yer rig on veggie oil, try to figure out how to run one on hemp oil. I would follow that guy any where, lolll.

any light oil works. 40 gal of hemp oil is a lot! lol Funny though, there are additives that you can be added to any fuel tank to add smell, you can get anything from Vanilla to hemp.

Well the only point to be taken from this thread is people are really stupid. And if they're not stupid, they're ignorant. But they're usually both.

I work in oil & gas but have enough other work for a public utility to keep me busy for now. In 2008 when in was profitable to drill anywhere for anything as soon as you could get your **** there, I had work in a lot of fab shops that were going gangbusters. I can't tell you how happy some of those guys were for their overtime while simultaneously bitching about high gas prices. I was like, uh, hey sport...do you know why you're so busy? It boggled my mind.

I personally was hit way harder by falling NG prices long before oil started tanking. I'd rather see NG rise than oil. If NG would have stayed around $8-$10 I'd probably be the hell of here by now. If it stayed in the low teens I would certainly be the f*ck out of here by now.

I wouldn't touch Denver with a ten-foot pole at this point. It's about to get worse. Imagine San Fran fawked Brooklyn and had a baby and gave it legal weed and let Austin raise it. People will be living in closets if they're not already.

That's funny sh#! right there. Ridgehunter, you are a sig line machine.

It definitely goes both ways. But with that said, there are some in this very thread who seem to be rejoicing in the fact that some of their fellow Oklahomans are out of work and hurting, they even seem to want more of that. :(

Edit: I'm not saying that TK is one of those.

Who is rejoicing that people are out of work and hurting?

From one of my brokers:

"Stocks Drop Sharply As Oil Prices Slide Again

A further drop in oil prices seemed to trigger Wednesday's broad-based global stock market selloff. During the day, the Dow fell more than 550 points but rebounded with both the Dow and S&P 500 closing down about 1%. Crude oil prices are down nearly 30% this year due to slow demand growth, still-high production levels and rising inventories. Falling oil prices are painful in the short term. But over time, lower energy prices can help put more money in consumers' pockets and help increase company profits. You'll probably hear much more about the pain than about those longer-term potential gains, which historically have helped economic growth in the U.S., Europe, Japan and China, making a global recession less likely."

There are a lot of older oil field folks as well that still haven't learned the cyclic nature of the oil patch.

There are some that recognized it and lived accordingly.
Thank you oil patch. :hey3:
