Carrier losing jobs: Another Drumpf fumble

This is one of those times where I am gonna shock the **** out of everybody. YG and I have a very storied past. Not all of it good. Some was my fault. Some was his. Some we had help from a third party.

Say what you will, but from his POV his arguments are fairly well thought out. Even someone who is wrong can have a fairly decent argument for their position.

I rarely agree with him (and really wish he wouldn't resort to the "your an idiot" argument because I think it lessens his position) but I do consider him a friend.

He has helped me more (when I'm sure he thought I didn't deserve the time of day) when some folks who were "friends" we're in the process of an anally probing me every damned chance they got.

Nothing but respect here now. But I do wish he'd stop calling Trump Drump. I don't recall but I don't think I ever called Obama Obummer. (Ok, that said if someone goes and finds a post where I did, then I apologize for being disrespectful to the office, and apologize to YG for being just a tad bit holier than thou -- even though I'm sure he understands it's mostly in a little fun-loving ribbing now.

I would say that some individuals on this site are quick to resort to name-calling and ad hominem, and i think that lessens the site for everyone.

I wish he would just argue his case without calling my posts "nasty" or "idiotic." I consider those ad hominem attacks, rather than logical discourse. Seems petty and childish.

I agree completely with you. Lots of people don't like me because, by and large, I don't name call. Just tended to threat my debates here like I did when I worked for lawyers. Judges kinda frown on name-calling as an affirmative defense. Lol

I have learned several valuable lessons over the last year. If a guy brags about how he really has no friends and the only reason he has friends is to screw them over you should probably take him at his word, even though he appears to be teasing was probably the most important one. I'm may slow, but I ain't completely stupid and I do keep score.

No, he lied. He flat-out lied, and that's the point.

When American union employees keep sucking companies dry by demanding more pay and benefits for jobs that require basic knowledge and ability, they will look for cheaper labor.

And Drumpf is smart enough to understand this, making his lie that much worse.

Now you've got an education partially funded by the government and have jumped to the liberal indoctrinated side of opinion.

I have just as many "conservative" values as I do "liberal" values. When my conservatives friends are labeling me as "liberal" at the same time my liberal friends are labeling me as "conservative", I know I'm in the right place.

One major reason Hillary disgusted me was the fact that she a giant phucking liar. I've learned that Donald is no different...his lying is right up there with Hillary's and it disgusts me, so when I see it I'll definitely make a point of it. Why is it that you'd be sick of people bashing Trump for his lies, but not sick of the lying itself?

pretend what you're doing matters. Publish more papers for peer review and call yourselves Dr this and Dr that.

Much of my work involves helping people, and making the world a better place for people that are struggling and suffering--especially US military personnel/veterans that are dealing with poverty and mental health issues such as depression, ptsd, and finding meaning in life after the military. Minimize my work all you want if it makes you feel better, but the work I do so damn rewarding to me (and the people I work with) that your minimizing of it does nothing to me but make me laugh.

We need to go shoot, drink some beer, and catch up--because in this case you're not! I may be fulltime in Oklahoma starting this Fall, so it'll be easier to shoot more (and argue more, as well!).

The thing about people who are educated in liberalism is they don't think for themselves. They just regurgitate what they are force fed in class, that's why they all sound the same. Then it just perpetuates itself because that's all they know.

This it true for both liberals and conservatives. There are some extreme liberals on college campuses, and although they make the daily news, it really isn't the norm. The extreme conservatives are just as prevalent, but not on college campuses. What most people don't see, because it too boring for daily news, is the majority of people on college campuses learning how to think critically, logically, and for themselves (instead of being group-based as you're describing)--in short, people are trained *how* to think, and not *what* to think. Some institutions are outliers, some departments in institutions are outliers, and some people are outliers...but they do not represent the norm.

If you read occupy democrats or watch any of the major new networks, Trump does nothing right. He can't eat a steak or have ice cream without people freaking out.
