wonder how this dude feels about showing ID to vote.

And asking all of those in a group to show ID is pretty common in a college town where you might get one fratty bro buying 30 cases of Natty Light and he has six pledges helping in push the carts.

The highlighted part reminds me of when I was a wee youngen (just under 21) and lived with a roommate who was also under 21, but we had friends that were over 21. Many a time we went into the local liquor store, made our various selections and placed them into our older friend's cart (yes, we were buying enough to need a cart) and then my under 21 friend and I would step outside to check our pagers (yep, that long ago).

As for the instance in the video, I can see me getting quite irritated by the cashier asking my wife for her ID if we were in line together and there was alcohol to be purchased. It's a stupid policy and I would likely tell the poor cashier the same. But, then I'd just leave my purchases there for them to deal with and head to a more accommodating store.

In effect, we appear to have "special low rights zones." Besides WalMart, universities and colleges and the Tulsa riverpark come to mind.

Something may be allowable under the law elsewhere but one way or another, but if you are in the "special area" your rights are negated. It is almost analagous to the "sovereign citizen" wierdness.... This is Walmart/University/Riverparks, you are under "local authority", stop acting as if you are a citizen and that state law applies here.

They are calling in death threats to the station and the officers involved personal information is being posted all over my Facebook. I’d hate to be those guys lol

They may be poorly qualified and poorly trained, but death threats over this is over the line. :(

Here, but occasionally There.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit to find out that those making the threats are part of the "auditor" crowd. I think some of them are pretty much inclined that way. After all, they go out intending to confront authority.

Y'know, there used to be a town in Alaska whose police were unarmed, by law. If the police wanted to do anything requiring any show of force, they had to summon support from the locals. If nobody, would assist, well, that's a sign.

It went a long way toward keeping badge-heavy stupidity in check.

Wonder why they changed their ways?

The thing we seem to be complaining about the most, is Walmart's policy on ID. Seems a bit excessive, but they have the right to set their policies, just as we have the right to shop elsewhere. There are probably some in policy making positions with Walmart that think our interpretation of 2A is a bit excessive. It is great to have the right to live as we want, within the Constitution.

The "auditor" videos I have seen on YouTube mostly deal with them testing the limits of LEO's concerning the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments. Some are educational, some are downright stupid, but they do in some cases prove LEO's wrong and catches a lot of them lying about the Constitution and the limits of people's civil rights. In some cases it shows LEO's fabricating offenses. Take for instance the case of the OKC officer that unconstitutionally stopped a women riding her bike and accusing her of looking into garages and homes on her ride to work (no law broken). She was handcuffed, stuffed into the back seat of a police SUV, searched against her consent and released. The officer's excuse for handcuffs....the woman, when handing him her license tried to use it as a "weapon". Some LEO's will try to unlawfully create a situation to justify their actions, which seems like the case with the Muskogee police.
