But the new guys are dumb enuf to sell their grandpa's lever gun... why do you care if they post it in the classifieds? Not sure what you gain by preventing their posts. Does it just make you feel special? Smacks of elitism and general busy-bodyness.

Do the new guys have to have a minimum number of posts before the system allows us to put them on ignore?
I remember when you could put them on ignore immediately.

The only part about it that annoys me is when I hit the New Posts and get two pages of the same guys still trying to sell the same junk that they've been bumping for the last year.

Fortunately, the Ignore function takes care of that problem quite nicely. I just wish the Classifieds were grouped together so I could mark them all read in one go instead of having to mark all fifty bajillion categories as read one at a time. (I have nothing against the Classifieds, I just don't want them cluttering up my New Posts page.)

I’m not sure but I just put ignored member on ignored. I’m not sure if he wanted to be ignored or was irritated because his wife ignores his member.

I actually thought about this myself, but I don't want to work that hard. I like being retired and just being a Mod.

I'm with ya bro. Tapatalk lets me take the classified threads out with a push on the phone, but hate having to go through the delete forum categories on the computer.

Ignore button is your friend and is a crucial piece of having an enjoyable experience on most forums. I agree with Dennis forum moderator is another one of many thankless jobs.
