Really nice tine length, but not much mass. That’s interesting because my neighbor next to our farms said all the bucks he has on cam are the same way. Last I knew he had 10 or so cams on his 5k acres he owns so that gives him a pretty good idea of what’s going on across his property.

Pulled my first card today after 5 days. The feeder hasn’t worked since last season and isn’t working now. The ladino clover patch has them in there morning and evening. About 3/4 acre. I spread 5 lbs on another half acre adjacent to the existing patch today to get it spreading faster.
No bucks yet but plenty of buck magnets.

I switched to a new protein this year to save money (35% cheaper), and I think they like it. They emptied the feeder (1000 lbs) in 14 days

So, is it really cheaper in the end? I tried a gravity feeder once, but the damn cows emptied it. If you put a fence of any kind up, deer don't mess with it.

You make a great point! This “all stock” feed is actually cheaper than bagged corn locally. I’m looking into a timer for my protein feeder. There’s one made specifically for this Boss Buck feeder, but just the timer unit is half as much as I paid for the feeder. I’ll probably end up buying one just because there’s no guarantee I can be there to keep the feeder filled with them eating it like they are now.
