I love the ones that wear em into a restaurant and then take them off when they sit at their table. That Covid is one crafty virus. It'll getcha in the parking lot, but not at your table. It lurks in churches, but not casinos. And it runs rampant in schools but is not allowed in liquor stores. Yup! One crafty little virus.
I'll take a stab at this one. When you wear the mask going and leaving the restaurant it can protect you from getting a dose of the china flu as you are passing customers leaving and going in the restaurant, standing in line waiting to be seated and you are passing by the tables. Sitting at the table better isolates you ie. social distancing. The mask doesn't prevent the virus from getting you but the experts say it can lower the viral load.

At least that's the only reason I can come up with.

There is a China Buffet here that requires you to wear a mask when you are at the buffet line getting your food. Kinda makes since I guess. Maybe an extra layer of protection along with the sneeze guard.

Well there was this one couple, maybe in their seventies, that got confused or they were making a statement, I'm not sure which, but they never put on their mask when getting their food but they put them on to leave and walk to their car.

The masks at the buffet make good sense, for the sake of the food and food poisoning lol. I don't want some random stranger breathing all over the noodles I'm about to chow down on.

But buffets might become a thing of the past, except for the low tier places. Furrs already is shifting to some non-buffet model.. maybe cafeteria style or workers bring you items on small plates. Vegas already has been hit hard and the buffets there either are in server mode or shut down.

Yesterday I went through the drive thru of a fast food place which shall remain nameless (but they consider themselves the King of all Burgers). As I approached the window the gloveless lady thrust a small plastic tub at me in which I deposited my credit card. She then took the card out, ran it, put it back in the tub and thrust the tub back at me to retrieve my card. It was all I could do to keep from laughing at that whole pointless exercise.

You are a better man than me. I will laugh unabashedly and say "Really?!?!?" No. I am not ashamed. Well, unless we are talking about the average intelligence of the average homie sapiens ... Then I am horribly embarrassed for a lot of people's parents these days.

I’ve seen the same thing but with a gloved person. I’m fairly certain she was not changing the glove between each customer. I just shook my head and let it go.

My God I'm gonna die. I absolutely love buffets. I need a plate with sideboards on it. I used to eat with my coworker and his plate was a thing of beauty. It was always stacked with food about 6 to 8 inches high. Of course he was also stacked about 6'6" 300 pounds. Nobody ever said a thing to him about his eating habits except me. :buttkick:
I used to tell people who eyed his plate, I've seen him eat and it isn't a pretty sight. You might want to turn your head.

Watching college football today. All the masks on and masks off is a fricking joke. Same thing you see out in public, most people don’t wear them properly. A ridiculous mandate in some places.

Yeah I seen a lots people wearing chin dippers lately, specially employees at various stores.

That's the liberal mentality, crazy.
