If millions of people get hospital acquired infections and nearly 100k die per year in the U.S. there is no way you could keep the workplace clean
I agree there is no absolute safety anywhere from a highly contagious virus or bacteria.
But hospitals went to hell when they stopped cleaning with bleach.
Read an article a few years ago about a big hospital in NYC that hired a doctor as head of infection control (probably because they absolutely had to do something, IMO). He brought back cleaning with bleach, talking about how effective it was and that's what he remembered growing up when the kitchen was cleaned.
You can never keep any workplace perfectly clean but I think a lot of places could do a better job.

Forgive my cynicism but it that cleaner costs the public 20 bucks at Lowes or Home Depot, the taxpayers are probably paying 3X that amount and getting a watered down version that's "less toxic" or "environmentally friendly."
And if it's not supposed to be watered down, even if the maker is caught red handed, nothing will happen to the dirty Dova.

HAHA true.

Ehhh. If you go out in public you are well aware of the "risks". As far as work goes most places don't offer sick time. So if you can't take the paycheck hit there's really no option

Most places outside of temp work, fast food, or entry level positions offer PTO. And employers were required to pay sick employees 2 weeks if they had a positive test, that just ended. But if some sick who cant take the paycheck, and goes to work, is putting their coworkers in the same situation. The sick person can also apply for pandemic unemployment if I remember correctly to offset the loss of pay during that time. There is no logical way to say that a sick person should go to work because they cant afford not to. I wouldnt have as much issue with it, if it werent for contract tracing and quarantining. But because the powers that be have mandated things, and it affects others, without their choices, I have a problem with it. My kid is a varsity wrestler, busted his ass to make weight, and was pulled out of a dual tournament because a kid he has a class with had it. We literally had to pull him off the mat, 2 matches in. I could not appeal it, couldnt return with a negative test, nothing, missed 2 weeks of wrestling and school and there was nothing I could do about it, even though he was never sick. His team went on to win the 16 team dual tournament and were the Shawnee State Dual Tournament Champs, and he couldn't be there. My daughter missed 5 weeks of school because of contract tracing, and was never sick, because of people being selfish. If we treated this like the flu, then I'd say F*** all, and not give two $h!ts.

Communist much?

Oh believe me, the parent's contract is not being renewed. I wouldnt care if it wasnt for the contact tracing and kids being quarantined. If we treated it like the flu, I probably would have forgot all about it. But she knew what would happen to the other kids since she was an employee of the school, and didnt care. My son was pulled out of a dual tournament after busting his ass for 2 weeks to make weight, and missed being with his team that went on to win the state dual tournament, because he sat 5 feet from someone. My daughter missed 5 weeks of school, and got a C in AP Calculus, because she missed 5 weeks of school, got no help from her teacher, didnt learn **** from the horrible online system they have, had to make up multiple unit tests in one day, and take her final the next day. The teacher was absolutely no help, because it would require her to do something outside her normal class room time because the online stuff is outside that. Neither of my kids ever got it, had neg tests, but were forced to not attend school, practice or EC activities for no reason.

You guys do know that the less than 1% mortality rate does not mean a whole lot when thousands are getting it every day don't you? I look at it this way, if everyone wore mask in public and practiced social distancing stuff, and the sick stayed home, maybe the dipwads in power would do away with the lock down BS. Lord knows they are not doing any good now but the bureaucrats think they are.

Masks have been required in most public places for months, if they really worked we wouldn't be seeing the rise in cases.

You would be correct if everyone was following the mandate. I know a lot of young people are not and a few old farts are not either. Been a lot of raves, parties, illegal bars were the people were found to not be wearing mask. Also the mask are not 100% effective but nothing ever is. They do help.
