My season may be over. Looks like the windmill that was supposed to happen two years ago is going to happen right during the rut!
There was a few thousand Canadas flying around eastern OK county this morning. They were feeding on what was left of the corn crop. Too bad we put our spread in the wheat. They’d been feeding on the wheat the past 3 days.
Finally decided to take a break from this frustrating deer season. Had a limit in 12 minutes. I barely sat down at shooting time, and boy they started dropping in. I needed about 3 or 4 buddies to really take care of business, lol.

After all the 100's of birds I've killed, I still have never killed a banded bird where I knew I was the one who shot it. I've been on hunts where we dropped several BWT and one was banded, a lesser Canada from Greenland when several fell from the sky, same for a lesser snow. I did let a mallard drake fly past so my buddy could shoot it, it was from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. 5yo bird and also had a $100 green reward band on the other leg lol.
