2022 Waterfowl.

Ended the weekend with 2 woodies, 5 mallards and 7 quail. Not too shabby. I won’t say where I went, but I will say the quail are much better than anyone anticipated this weekend. One of them I shot was a rooster that was less than 90 days old. His head feathers hadn’t turned black.

Well, my bird seasons can’t get much worse! Pointer died last week. Smoked a 10pt this morning on my way to my duck blind! I was gonna offer to take @HoLeChit on his first waterfowl excursion, but you boys might wanna stay away from my cursed ass!

I hate to pour salt in the wound, but a Ranch Hand front end replacement is cheap insurance in case of situations like this. It doesn’t appear it would’ve prevented all your damage, but the grill and maybe the front quarter panel would’ve been spared.

I had 6 confirmed kills on my ‘06 Ford F250 with no damage to my truck, and my current ‘11 F250 has 3 confirmed kills and one glancing blow that launched a doe about 30 yards into a ditch.

Call and ask the GW for that area. Google Earth maps aren't updated frequently enough to check water levels. Some areas haven't been updated in over 3 years.

Checked the pond Saturday after deer hunting all morning. Literally 80 or more widgeon and small group of pins. There had to be at least 100 ducks. I've never seem that many ducks on one pond ever. Might be time to take a short break from deer hunting.
