anyways it was just the mag. i only had one at the moment otherwise i would tried that right off the bat but i found a buddy with an xd locally and tried his and it works fine.
im not an idiot and maybe the pics make it look way worse then it is because it all fits together perfect and i was hand polishing with 1500 grit wetpaper for gosh sakes.
i just got annoyed that it didn't cycle and posted this up when i should of not said anything till i tried another magazine. Sorry for wasting yalls time, my bad.

C'mon, don't take it personal and thicken your skin up a lil okay? We're just giving you a ration of crap over your misfortune...for the most part. Many of us have in here have learned to "step away from the dremel" the hard way after all...or the flitz or whatever. I should post a pic of my feeble attempt to wet mold an old beater of a holster a few years back. I turned a Don Hume G19 holster into one that a NAA mini-revo would maybe fit in...then decided the only place it would look right was in the trash can.
I know you diagnosed it as your magazine, so this is moot. But what you described is a failure to feed problem. Not necessarily a cycling problem. Did you ever check the cycling without the magazine, or the magazine inserted empty? It would have helped a lot of us understand what was going on here.
