I hear kidney stones are the closest a man will ever come to experiencing childbirth. I kinda thing the kidney stones are worse because I know people who have changed their lifestyle to avoid kidney stones. Seems to me if childbirth were all that damned awful we'd ALL be only children.

You've got it backwards. I've never had to change a $h!^^y diaper on a kidney stone, and after I have it, I can legally toss it in the trash...

Piece of cake my ASS!!!! Those are straight from HELL! LOL...I've had two about 20 years apart.....hope I die before the next one comes!
I've had 2 so far this year. The smaller ones get easier and I can tell when it's a biggun and I need Dr's assistance..

Here was 2-14-17's addition...when I get enough, I'm gonna make a necklace...

I went to the er in myrtle beach on friday. They put me on a iv and pain meds there and prescribed 2 pain meds. CT said it was 3mm. Went to my Dr Monday and she gave me another pain med. Oh and im on flowmax. I have a urologist appointment tomorrow morning. This damn thing still hasnt dropped into my bladder yet and is killing me. And to the guy with the 2 this year, I dont know how you stand it.

I've had so many, it's just routine anymore. You should be able to pass a 3mm. I've passed 3mm and didn't even know they were on deck, till they were on the way out. Bad thing is, I've had them pass in days, but some can take months. If you can't stand it, the urologist can go get it or bust it up. I've had that done too, more times than I can remember. When it gets in the bladder, you should know it. The pain changes location and duration on me, it also means I'm usually home free...

I have passed a 3mm in one day previously. It was just as horrible getting to my bladder. After its in my bladder Im ok. But they said I still have several in each kidney and I want to see if there is anything the urologist can do about busting them up and getting this over with.

I hear ya. I've got probably a dozen or so of various sizes, most being small. But there's a couple that won't pass should they every decide to migrate. Not all kidney stones are problems, some you can live with and they never move. My urologist has me on 2 meds to cut down on my stone production, one to change PH and one to decrease Calcium release. But that's just for me, everybody is different and has different types of stones. Hope you find something that works.

Dr told me citrus juice especially lemon and lime helps dissolving them. After about 18 gallons and a couple of months I started passing them.
In ER I begged them to cut me open...
He said mine were too small for surgery.
I drink at least a gallon of no sugar lemonade or limeade every week. Lots of water dehydration makes them worse.
