It might grow on me, but it'll never be in the same league as the first gen. Sold my '72 about 15 years ago, and have regretted it ever since. Now they're so damned expensive I'll likely never have another one.
Really wish this was F150 based with a 5.0 V8.
The full size bronco guys are disappointed from what I'm reading on the web. It was built to compete with the wrangler though

Not really in the same class as the Bronco IMO, but with a solid front axle and a V8, there's some competition.

I'm curious to see if it will happen as well. I'm not sure I understand the need for the hp/tq for those who truly want to crawl, thats about gearing, suspension, and driver ability. Desert racing absolutely I can see it, hp/tq sells though.
