It might grow on me, but it'll never be in the same league as the first gen. Sold my '72 about 15 years ago, and have regretted it ever since. Now they're so damned expensive I'll likely never have another one.

It's probably worth about 2x-4x what you sold it for.

Not really in the same class as the Bronco IMO, but with a solid front axle and a V8, there's some competition.

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 rated at 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. The Rubicon 392 has also been outfitted with a 2-inch lift kit, 37-inch tires. With Jeep, the concept will probably never happen.

I'm curious to see if it will happen as well. I'm not sure I understand the need for the hp/tq for those who truly want to crawl, thats about gearing, suspension, and driver ability. Desert racing absolutely I can see it, hp/tq sells though.

I bet it won't get a v8, if it does I hope it's the 7.3l and not the 5.0l. That's going pretty much require an entire new drive train to make it happen. A diesel would be great.
