I'm closing on my first house this Friday and definitely gonna look into beefing up the doors and locks.

It’s a normal door with a normal strike plate. It doesn’t take much to kick it open. Most doors are like this.
What do you plan to do to reinforce the doors? Replace the doors with security doors and jambs? Multiple dead bolts? They could also get in through a window.
You can put longer screws in the latch plate and I bought a couple of metal brackets that a 2X4 slides into that I put on the vulnerable doors like the rear and side doors. I guess you could install a temporary camera within the home also. I sure would give it some thought.
You can also put longer screws in the hinges. Another deadbolt a foot or so below the original would help strengthen against kicking.
